Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to simplify the formation of pixels in an image capture element for detecting an image plane phase difference. The image capture element is provided with an on-chip lens, a plurality of photoelectric conversion portions, and a plurality of waveguides. The on-chip lens focuses incident light onto pixels, and is arranged for each pixel while being displaced from the center of the pixel in accordance with an incident angle of the incident light. The plurality of photoelectric conversion portions are arranged in the pixels, and perform photoelectric conversion in accordance with the incident light. The plurality of waveguides are respectively arranged in the plurality of photoelectric conversion portions in the pixels, guide the focused incident light and cause the focused incident light to enter each of the plurality of photoelectric conversion portions, and are configured in mutually dissimilar shapes based on the displacement of the on-chip lenses.
