Abstract:
An image-capture element achieving a reduction in size and improved image quality is provided. The image-capture element includes: a plurality of transfer capacitors 252 respectively provided for vertical transfer lines 239 and forming trench structures; a plurality of column read circuits including a column source follower transistor 244 and a clamp switch 253 and respectively provided for the vertical transfer lines 239, the column read circuits being separated from the transfer capacitors 252 by means of a second diffusion layer 31; a plurality of column scan circuits including a column select switch 254 connected to the vertical transfer lines 239 via the transfer capacitors 252 to output image-capture signals from the vertical transfer lines 239 via the column source follower transistor 244, the column scan circuits being respectively provided for the plurality of column read circuits; a horizontal transfer line 258 for transferring the image signals; and a constant current source 257.
