Abstract:
This technology relates to an image capturing device, an image capturing method and a program which make it possible to obtain a color image even when capturing images of a dark location.
This image capturing device is provided with: an infrared light radiating unit which radiates infrared light; a sensor array in which are disposed a plurality of pixels including first pixels having an exposure time including a period in which infrared light is being radiated by the infrared light radiating unit, second pixels having an exposure time not including the period in which infrared light is being radiated by the infrared light radiating unit, and infrared light pixels which receive infrared light included in ambient light; an acquiring unit which acquires an infrared light image captured by the first pixels, a visible image captured by the second pixels, and an ambient infrared light image captured by the infrared light pixels; and an image generating unit which generates images by removing the infrared light included in the ambient light from the infrared light image and the visible image, using the ambient infrared light image. This technology is applicable to surveillance cameras, for example.
