Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an image capturing device capable of capturing an image both using visible light and using infrared light by a simple configuration.
[Solution] An image capturing device comprises: an incident light image signal generation means that generates an incident light image signal corresponding to the intensities of a visible light component and a near-infrared light component of incident light incident on a light receiving surface; a near-infrared light diffraction means that is disposed on the incidence side of the light receiving surface and diffracts the near-infrared light component of the incident light; a diffraction pattern extraction means that extracts a diffraction pattern generated on the light receiving surface by the near-infrared light; a near-infrared light image signal generation means that generates a near-infrared light image signal corresponding to the intensity of the near-infrared light component, the intensity being calculated on the basis of the diffraction pattern; and a visible light image signal generation means that generates a visible light image signal corresponding to the intensity of the visible light component on the basis of the incident light image signal and the near-infrared light image signal.
