The image-capturing device disclosed in the present application is provided with: an optical element (L1) having in a predetermined plane at least a first optical surface region (D1) for admitting light of a first wavelength band, and a second optical surface region (D2) for admitting light of a second wavelength band that is different from the first wavelength band; a diffraction grating (G) having a first diffraction step provided in a region on which light passing through the first optical surface region (D1) impinges, and a second step provided in a region on which light passing through the second optical surface region (D2) impinges, the depth of the second diffraction step being different from that of the first diffraction step; an image-capturing element (N) having at least a plurality of first pixels and a plurality of second pixels; and an array-shaped optical element (K) arranged between the diffraction grating (G) and the image-capturing element (N), and adapted for causing light having passed through the first optical surface region (D1) to impinge on the plurality of first pixels and causing light having passed through the second optical surface region (D2) to impinge on the plurality of second pixels.
