Abstract:
An image capturing device (1) comprises: a hand shake compensation unit (206) that moves a movable part having an image capturing element with respect to a fixed part using a coil and a magnet; a position detection unit (402) that detects the position of the movable part; a setting unit (416) that sets the resolution of the detection of the position by the position detection unit (402) to a first resolution or a second resolution which is higher than the first resolution and at which the amount of deviation from a target position is a pixel shift amount or less; a drive control unit (412) that performs multiple times of pixel shift for moving the movable part at the second resolution set by the setting unit (416); and an image capturing control unit (406) that executes image capturing by the image capturing element at the timing of the pixel shift, and synthesizes multiple captured images obtained by the image capturing.
