Abstract:

Provided is an image capturing device provided with a semiconductor substrate having: a semiconductor region including a first conductivity-type impurity; a first diffusion region which contacts the semiconductor region, includes a second conductivity-type impurity different from the first conductivity-type impurity, and converts incident light into an electric charge; and a second diffusion region including the second conductivity-type impurity and storing at least a portion of the electric charge introduced from the first diffusion region. The image capturing device also comprises: a first transistor which includes a first gate electrode positioned on the semiconductor substrate and which includes the second diffusion region as one among a source and a drain; a contact plug electrically connected to the second diffusion region; a capacitive element having one end electrically connected to the contact plug; and a second transistor including a second gate electrode positioned on the semiconductor substrate, the second gate electrode being electrically connected to the one end of the capacitive element.
