Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide an image capturing and displaying system with which it is possible to suppress mistakes in visual recognition of distances arising from moving-body distortion in an image displayed by a display device, without increasing the complexity of circuits in an image capturing element. This image capturing and displaying system is mounted on a moving body which moves in an arbitrarily defined direction on a reference plane, and includes an image capturing device having a rolling-shutter type image capturing element which captures images, a display device which displays images, and a processing device which subjects images to image processing. The direction in which the image capturing device captures images is different from the direction in which the moving body moves on the reference plane. The image-capture scanning direction of images captured by the image capturing element is level with the reference plane, and the display scanning direction of images displayed on the display device coincides with the image-capture scanning direction.
