Abstract:
 The present invention improves image quality. In this image-capturing element, the spacing between adjacent light-receiving elements on the light-receiving surface of the image-capturing element is changed in accordance with the positions of the light-receiving elements. In addition, the image-capturing element is manufactured according to a method for manufacturing image-capturing elements in which photodiodes are layered by repeatedly carrying out a silicon epitaxial step and an ion injection step. In addition, the image-capturing element is manufactured according to a method for manufacturing image-capturing elements in which the layering is performed and the spacing between adjacent photodiodes on the light-receiving surface of the image-capturing element is changed in each layer in accordance with the positions of the photodiodes on the light-receiving surface.
