Abstract:
The present invention reduces the occurrence of cross-talk due to stray light. A plurality of photoelectric conversion units are formed on a semiconductor substrate and perform photoelectric conversion that corresponds to incident light. In the present invention, an optical path unit comprises: a transparent film that transmits incident light; a light-blocking wall that, for each of the photoelectric conversion units, blocks the transparent film in respective directions perpendicular to the semiconductor substrate; and a light-blocking film that is disposed near the end of the light-blocking wall on the other side from the side close to the semiconductor substrate, the light-blocking film being configured in the form of a film that is parallel to the semiconductor substrate, and having incident-light-transmitting openings disposed for each of the photoelectric conversion units. On-chip lenses are disposed for each of the plurality of photoelectric conversion elements, said lenses focusing the incident light onto the photoelectric conversion elements via the optical path unit.
