Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an image capturing lens unit which has an IR cut filter reliably mounted while avoiding the complexity of processes, is compact, and has high performance. An image capturing lens unit is provided with a sealing section (14) which is disposed between a lens (11) and an IR cut filter (12) and which seals an inner space (IS) sandwiched between the lens (11) and the IR cut filter (12), and this enables, with a fluid resin (MP) prevented from flowing into the region between the lens (11) and the IR cut filter (12), a holder (40) to be formed integrally with the lens (11) and the IR cut filter (12) while the lens (11) and the IR cut filter (12) are mounted in the holder (40). Thus, forming the holder (40) integrally with the lens (11) and the IR cut filter (12) while the lens (11) and the IR cut filter (12) are mounted in the holder (40) enables the size of the image capturing lens unit (100) to be reduced and the number of parts and assembling man-hours to be reduced.
