Abstract:
The present invention provides an image collection device with which, by a simple mechanism which is suited to miniaturization and high-speed processing, it is possible to collect a high-contrast coin-shaped medium image. The present invention is an image collection device which collects an image for identification processing of a coin-shaped medium, said device characterized by comprising: a light source which comprises a plurality of light emitting units and which irradiates a surface of the coin-shaped medium with light that the plurality of light emitting units emits; an image capture element which obtains an image of the light reflected by the surface of the coin-shaped medium and captures an image of the coin-shaped medium; and a control unit which carries out control for varying the timing of a light emission period of each of the plurality of light emitting units within a single exposure period for the image capture element.
