Abstract:
Provided are an image compositing device, an image compositing method, an image compositing program, and a recording medium containing the program such that the balance between a template image and an image to be composited with the template image is improved. A photography subject 91 in an image P1 to be composited with a compositing region of the template image is determined, and multiple extraction regions 101, 102, and 103 that include the determined photography subject and have a shape similar to the shape of the compositing region are defined. Among extraction images 111, 112, and 113 in the extraction regions 101, 102, and 103, an extraction region 102 in which the degree of similarity in terms of impression between the template image and an extraction image is equal to or greater than a threshold value is determined. The extraction image 112 in the determined extraction region 102 is composited with the compositing region of the template image.
