Abstract:
Even when decryption is not possible by a separator position being shifted by a defect or the like occurring in encrypted serial digital data that is transmitted from an endoscope 2 to a video processor 3, error notification information is sent from a communication transmission unit 37 to a communication reception unit 27 in the endoscope 2 on the basis of a decryption error signal from a decryption error detection unit 36, and a control code insertion unit 25 that receives the information instructs an encryption unit 23 to insert control code for synchronization at the time the error occurred.
