Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of reducing the complexity of coding/decoding of a moving image. An image decoding device (31) includes a CN-information decoding unit (10) that hierarchically splits a coding node by using at least one of binary-tree splitting and ternary-tree splitting, and the CN-information decoding unit restricts the manner of splitting of a target node with reference to the manner of splitting of an immediately upper node, which is the node one-generation above the target node.
