Abstract:
The present application relates to the technical field of video encoding and decoding, and discloses an image decoding method and apparatus, and an image encoding method and apparatus, solving the problem of low prediction efficiency in the process of image encoding and decoding (or video encoding and decoding). The image decoding method comprises: parsing a bitstream to obtain a syntax element, the syntax element being used for obtaining a residual block of a unit to be decoded, and said unit comprising at least one prediction group; determining a prediction mode of any one of the at least one prediction group; predicting the any prediction group on the basis of the prediction mode to obtain a predicted value of the any prediction group; and decoding said unit on the basis of the residual block of said unit and the predicted value of the at least one prediction group.
