Abstract:
Disclosed in the present application are an image decoding method and a decoder, used for optimizing a decoding algorithm, reducing hardware overhead of a decoder, and improving the performance of the decoder. The method of the present application comprises: obtaining auxiliary information of a common position image of a first encoded sub-block, the common position image being an image having the same coordinate information as a current image block in which the first encoded sub-block is located; if the auxiliary information of the common position image indicates that decoding information of a first common position block is the same as decoding information of a second common position block, obtaining a decoding auxiliary value of a second encoded sub-block as a decoding auxiliary value of the first encoded sub-block, the decoding auxiliary value of the second encoded sub-block being calculated according to the decoding information of the second common position block; decoding the first encoded sub-block according to the decoding auxiliary value of the first encoded sub-block so as to obtain decoding information of the first encoded sub-block.
