Abstract:
According to an embodiment of the present invention, an image display apparatus is provided with: a display panel; a first attaching section, which is provided on the rear surface of the display panel such that the first attaching section extends in the longitudinal direction of the display panel, and which has a first opening provided therein; and a first cover, which is attached to the first attaching section, and which covers a part of the rear surface of the display panel. The first cover has: a first main body portion that is provided to extend in the direction intersecting the longitudinal direction at a position off the first attaching section; a first protruding portion protruding in the longitudinal direction from the main body portion; and a first projected portion, which is projected from the first protruding portion, and which is fitted in the first opening.
