[Problem] To enable a conventional monitor (display means) for normal images to be used as a monitor for stereoscopic images. [Solution] By means of a control unit (8a) having the functionality of a display control means, display, on a monitor (9), a right-eye image using a combination of Rs and Gs among the sub-pixels (SP) in the monitor (9), and display, on the monitor (9), a left-eye image using Bs, and display the right-eye image and the left-eye image at the same time on the same screen. A stereoscopic image is viewed by a user wearing colour glasses having a right-eye colour filter (transmitting only Rs and Gs) for viewing the right-eye image and a left-eye colour filter (transmitting only Bs) for viewing the left-eye image.
