Abstract:
An image display device (100) installed in an automobile (10) having a door (12), said image display device (100) being provided with a light source unit (130) which converts a video signal to a light signal, a scanning mirror unit (200) which reflectively sweeps the light beam of the light signal and displays an image on a projection plane, and a control unit (23) which operates the scanning mirror unit (200) while the light source unit (130) is not in operation, depending on whether the door (12) is opened or closed or the state of a key.
