Abstract:
The present invention relates to an image display device for displaying a composite image for synthesizing and viewing two images. An image display device for displaying a composite image, according to an embodiment of the present invention, comprises: a first display panel, positioned in front of a viewer's eyes, for displaying a first image; a second display panel, disposed apart from the first display panel, for displaying a second image, such that the first image of the first display panel and the second image of the second display panel are synthesized to be viewed, wherein the first display panel comprises: a pinhole formed so that light is optically transmitted through each pixel; and a light shielding member which seals the circumference of a gap between the first display panel and the second display panel in order to prevent light from entering the gap between the first display panel and the second display panel and lowering a contrast ratio of the first display panel. Therefore, it is possible not only to provide a clear composite image to a viewer, but also to minimize power consumption and prevent an aging phenomenon due to heat generation.
