Abstract:
In an image display device in an embodiment of the present invention, the capacity of a plurality of liquid crystal cells arranged in a two-dimensional form is detected by a detection unit. Furthermore, transistor bias conditions for selecting the liquid crystal cells are adjusted so as to compensate for a portion changed in the capacity of the liquid crystal cells by an adjustment unit. The detection unit, for example, is a flat plate shaped electrode disposed so as to face the common electrode or pixel electrode of the liquid crystal cells. The flat plate shaped electrode, for example, is disposed on the front surface or back surface of the liquid crystal cells.
