Abstract:
This image display device is provided with: a light source; a screen on which an image is formed by irradiation with light emitted from the light source; an optical system which generates a virtual image by means of light from the screen; a driving unit which moves the screen in an optical axis direction; an encoder (410) which detects a movement position of the screen; a servo circuit (230) which causes the movement of the screen by the driving unit to follow a target waveform on the basis of a signal from the encoder (410); and a phase correction circuit (217) which suppresses a deviation between a movement timing of the screen by the servo circuit (230) and an image forming timing for the screen.
