Abstract:
In an image display device having a parallax barrier element, it is possible to
realize a clear display of a large visual range. The image display device includes:
a display panel having a first pixel group for displaying a first image and a second
pixel group for displaying a second image; and a parallax barrier element having
a plurality of light shading portions and a plurality of light transmitting portions
alternately arranged in the same plane and separating the display light emitted
from the first pixel group from the display light emitted from the second pixel
group. The parallax barrier element has a light collecting element arranged
in each of the light transmitting portions.
