Abstract:
The image display device according to one embodiment of the present technology is provided with a correction unit and a display control unit. The correction unit corrects the pixel value of each pixel included in image information in order to correct the degradation of an image projected on the basis of image information including the pixel value of each pixel. When the pixel value of a pixel exceeds an upper-limit value due to the correction, the display control unit changes the pixel value of that pixel to a value smaller than or equal to the upper-limit value and increases the display luminance of the pixel exceeding the upper-limit value in the projected image.
