Abstract:
Provided is a highly durable image display device that makes the drive control of the mechanical structure for adjusting the display luminance and color tone unnecessary, and allows a high-quality image to be displayed. An image display device (1) comprises: a driver state detecting unit (12) for detecting the state of a driver; a parameter setting unit (13) for setting a parameter for adjusting prepared original image information on the basis of the state of a driver detected by the driver state detecting unit (12); an image information generating unit (15) for adjusting the original image information and generating the image information of an image to be displayed on the basis of the parameter set by the parameter setting unit (13); and an image forming unit (18) for modulating light from a light source on the basis of the image information generated by the image information generating unit (15).
