Abstract:
An image display method comprises: three-color pixel data signals R, G and B of an image are provided; gray-scale values R, G and B are converted into corresponding brightness values LR, LG and LB; brightness values LR', LG' and LB' adapted to a four-color pixel display panel are obtained through compensating calculation of the brightness values LR, LG and LB; the brightness values LR', LG' and LB' are converted into corresponding gray-scale values R', G' and B'; the minimum value of the gray-scale values R, G and B is taken as a white gray-scale value W'; the obtained gray-scale values R', G', B' and W' are correspondingly provided to red, green, blue and white sub-pixels of the four-color pixel display panel, and the four-color pixel display panel displays the image. An image display system for implementing the display method is further provided.
