Abstract:
A liquid crystal image display (1) comprising a first substrate (2), a second
substrate (3), an anisotropic conductive material (11) for sealing both substrates
(2, 3), and liquid crystal (12).Color filters (4R, 4G, 4B), a black mask (5), common
electrodes (6A, 6B), and transition ports (7A, 7B) are provided on the inner surface
of the first substrate (2). A segment electrode (8) and connection lines (10A,
10B) are formed on the inner surface of the second substrate (3), and a monochromatic
driver IC (9) is provided. The transition ports (7A, 7B) provided at the end of
the common electrodes (6A, 6B) formed on the first substrate (2) are connected
with the connection lines (10A, 10B) formed on the second substrate (3) through
the anisotropic conductive material (11). Consequently, the common electrodes
(6A, 6B) are connected with the monochromatic driver IC (9) without exceeding
a level difference formed on the outer circumference of the black mask (5).
