Abstract:
This image evaluation device acquires a signal that includes an image of a subject and performs focus evaluation and blur evaluation of the image. This image evaluation device comprises: an area setting unit which sets, in the image, an area to be evaluated in which focus evaluation and blur evaluation are to be performed; a focus evaluation value calculation unit which calculates a focus evaluation value that represents the degree of focus of the area being evaluated set by the area setting unit; a blur evaluation value calculation unit which calculates a blur evaluation value that represents the amount of blur of the subject in the area being evaluated set by the area setting unit; and a comprehensive evaluation value calculation unit which calculates a comprehensive evaluation value on the basis of the focus evaluation value calculated by the focus evaluation value calculation unit and the blur evaluation value calculated by the blur evaluation value calculation unit.
