Abstract:
Provided are an image formation device and an image formation method whereby suppression of cockling and suppression of image breakdown can both be achieved in double-sided printing. The present invention is provided with an image formation unit for forming an image on both surfaces of a medium, a drying unit whereby a drying treatment is performed on the medium on which the image is formed and whereby a temperature condition of 80°C to 140°C is applied, a drying conveyance unit provided with a conveyance belt for conveying the medium in a drying treatment region, and a suction chucking unit for generating a suction chucking pressure of 3.0 kilopascals to 11.3 kilopascals and suction-chucking the medium, a non-hole-arrangement region in which suction chucking holes are not arranged having an arithmetic mean surface roughness of 0.83 micrometers to 6.0 micrometers, and a fluororesin film having a static contact angle of 83.5 degrees to 90.5 degrees being formed.
