Abstract:
An image formation device (10) is provided with a plurality of motors (2), an overcurrent detection unit (31), a load application unit (4), and a specification unit (32). Each of the plurality of motors (2) has an output shaft. The overcurrent detection unit (31) detects an overcurrent with respect to a resultant current including currents flowing through the plurality of motors (2). The load application unit (4) applies a load to the output shafts of at least some motors (2) among the plurality of motors (2) when the plurality of motors (2) are rotated. The load applied by the load application unit (4) causes the resultant current to generate a fluctuation component that makes it possible to distinguish the currents of the plurality of motors (2). The specification unit (32) specifies, from among the plurality of motors (2), a motor (2) that causes the overcurrent on the basis of the resultant current when the overcurrent has been detected.
