Abstract:
Disclosed is an image formation device that can prevent heat within an in-body paper discharge unit from reaching the bottom surface of a scanner unit disposed on top of the in-body paper discharge unit. The image formation device (100) is provided with an in-body paper discharge unit (90), a scanner unit (123), and a ventilation unit (200). The in-body paper discharge unit (90) is disposed within the image formation device (100) and has a paper discharge tray (91) wherein post-image-formation paper is loaded. The scanner unit (123) is disposed on top of the in-body paper discharge unit (90) and can read manuscripts. The ventilation unit (200) generates airflow along the bottom surface of the scanner unit (123) between the bottom surface of the scanner unit (123) and the maximum loading position of paper that can be loaded in the paper discharge tray (91).
