Abstract:
It has been difficult to close the distance between a cleaning means and a toner recovery container and reduce the device size, facilitate attachment and detachment of the toner recovery container to and from the transfer unit, and minimize leakage of the toner from the connecting part. This toner recovery container engages with the cleaning means at the time of mounting. The cleaning means is provided with a discharge outlet for discharging the toner into the toner recovery container. The discharge outlet protrudes towards the toner recovery container, and the direction of protrusion of the discharge outlet and the direction in which the toner recovery container is attached and detached are essentially horizontal.
