Abstract:
Provided is an image formation device capable of suppressing image defects resulting from process cartridge replacement while suppressing process cartridge cost increase. A process cartridge including a charge roller and developing unit is capable of being attached to and removed from an image formation device. The developing unit is provided with a developing temperature sensor, and an internal device temperature sensor is provided in the image formation device outside of the process cartridge. If the temperature detected by the developing temperature sensor is lower than the temperature detected by the internal device temperature/humidity sensor, the peak-to-peak voltage of the AC voltage applied to the charge roller is set on the basis of the detection result of the developing temperature sensor.
