Abstract:
The present invention suppresses separation defects in which a recording medium to which an image has been transferred does not separate from a sandwiching part. This image formation device is provided with: an annular transfer belt that has an outer surface to which an image is transferred; a sandwiching part that forms a sandwiched region where a recording medium is sandwiched between the outer surface of the transfer belt and the sandwiching part; a facing part that faces the sandwiched region from the inner side of the transfer belt, and electrifies the transfer belt so as to transfer the image from the transfer belt to the recording medium in the sandwiched region; and a conveying part that has a holding part for holding the recording medium, conveys the recording medium by moving the holding part, and passes the recording medium together with the holding part through the sandwiched region while the recording medium is held by the holding part.
