Abstract:
An image forming apparatus comprising a cleaning blade for removing the residual toner from a latent image carrier and means for supplying zinc stearate for improving lubrication between the cleaning blade and the latent image carrier. The apparatus further comprises developing agent maintaining means for estimating the amount of zinc stearate mixed in the developing agent and if the amount exceeds an allowance value, replacing at least a part of the developing agent with a new developing agent.
