Abstract:
Provided are an image-forming apparatus and an image-forming method, with which positional misalignment of image formation areas on the front and rear sides of a recording medium can be easily and appropriately minimized by a simple configuration. This image-forming apparatus is provided with an image-forming control means for forming first and second reference labels on both surfaces of a first recording medium by using respective recording means. The first reference label includes scale marks indicating coordinates in a predetermined relative position range relative to a first image formation area, and the second reference label includes an instruction part indicating a prescribed relative position relative to a second image formation area. The instruction part is formed in a position indicating the inside of the relative position range as seen from a direction perpendicular to the surface of the recording medium. The image-forming apparatus is provided with an adjustment means for implementing settings pertaining to adjusting the recording action of the recording means so that positional misalignment of the first and second image formation areas diminishes on the basis of coordinates inputted by an input means and indicated by the instruction part. The image-forming control means causes respective adjusted ordinary images to be formed on both surfaces of a second recording medium by the recording means.
