Abstract:
A communication control unit of a multifunction peripheral transmits, if a setting value managed by a setting data management unit of the multifunction peripheral is updated, update information about the updated setting value to a setting value management server that manages setting values of the multifunction peripheral so that the setting value managed by the setting data management unit and the corresponding setting value managed by the setting value management server are synchronized with each other. According to the state of the multifunction peripheral (state during shutdown processing or state during startup processing), the communication control unit postpones the transmission of the update information about the updated setting value to the setting value management server.
