Abstract:
Each of a plurality of releasing nails fixed on the frame is formed, by use of a respective flat plate made of resin, such that the releasing nail tapers down toward a front end thereof, while having a constant thickness in the thickness direction. The plurality of releasing nails are fixed on the frame in the longitudinal direction of the photoconductor drum such that any recording medium can be released regardless of the paper size thereof. The recording medium can be released from the photoconductor body regardless of the thickness of the recording medium. In addition, the frame can be shifted, thereby easily adjusting the positional relationship between each of the releasing nails and the photoconductor drum. In this way, there can be made an image forming apparatus that can release, by use of the releasing nails, any thin recording medium, even if used, from the photoconductor body without damaging the recording medium.
