Abstract:
In order to provide an image-forming apparatus with improved circuit area and cost, the data-processing device (10) is provided with: a FIFO memory (13) that, of first serial data (SDATA) corresponding to nozzle rows (A, B), stores partial data corresponding to the nozzle row (B), the drive timing of which is delayed; a selector (18) that outputs the partial data for the nozzle row (A) contained in the first serial data as such and outputs the partial data for the nozzle row (B) by reading from the FIFO memory (13); a PS block (11), which generates a latch signal (LAT); a register (15a), which stores a value (LINE_GAP) corresponding to a specified line gap (L); a determining unit (15) for determining the drive timing for the nozzle row (B) on the basis of the latch signal and the value corresponding to the specified line gap (L); and a selector (17) that causes the selector (18) to read out the partial data corresponding to the nozzle row (B) with said drive timing.
