Abstract:
This image forming apparatus (1) is provided with: a receiving unit (11); a predicting unit (12) which predicts an array pattern of a plurality of output sheets, the array pattern being obtained by executing a reception job on the basis of margin information included in an execution instruction of the reception job received by the reception unit (11); a determining unit (13) which determines, on the basis of the margin information, whether the total sum of areas of margin regions of the plurality of output sheets is greater than a threshold value associated with the predicted prediction array pattern; and an adjustment printing unit (15) which, when determined to be greater, reduces an overall image (DA), in which respective images to be formed are arrayed in the prediction array pattern, such that the overall image is included in sheets in a changed array pattern in which a smaller number of sheets than that in the prediction array pattern are arrayed, and forms the overall image on the sheets arrayed in the changed array pattern.
