Abstract:
The present invention further reduces the effect of energy, which is irradiated by an irradiation unit onto a print medium, on the reading results of a reading unit. The main body (100), which is the image-forming device, is provided with an image-forming unit (120) for forming an image on a print medium (P), an irradiation unit (130) for irradiating energy for fixing the image on the print medium (P) on which the image has been formed by the image-forming unit (120), and a reading unit (140) for reading the image fixed on the print medium (P) by the irradiation unit. The positional relationship between the irradiation unit (130) and the reading unit (140) is such that the irradiation area on which energy is irradiated on the print medium (P) by the irradiation unit (130) does not overlap with the position at which reading of the print medium (P) by the reading unit (14) is performed.
