Abstract:
The present invention comprises: a toner concentration adjusting means capable of adjusting the toner concentration; a conductive member arranged so as to contact a developing roller with a liquid developer disposed therebetween; a voltage applying means capable of generating a potential difference between the developing roller and the conductive member; an electric current detecting means for detecting the electric current passing between the developing roller and the conductive member; and a control unit which can control the toner concentration adjusting means and the voltage applying means. When a prescribed potential difference is generated between the developing roller and the conductive member by the voltage applying means, the control unit adjusts the toner concentration (steps S17, 18) of the liquid developer on the surface of the developing roller by means of the toner concentration adjusting means in accordance with a change in detection results (step S14) detected by the electric current detecting means.
