Abstract:
Provided is a configuration in which a transfer unit 102 is inclined, the configuration making it possible to suppress leakage of a liquid developer. A transfer unit 102 includes an intermediate transfer belt 10 to which the liquid developer is transferred and which rotates. A support unit 104 can hold the transfer unit 102 in a first position. A pivotal holding unit can hold the transfer unit 102 in a second position inclined from the first position with respect to the support unit 104. A cleaning roller 15 can remove the liquid developer on the intermediate transfer belt 10. A cleaning container 16 is supported by the support unit 104 irrespective of a pivotal motion of the transfer unit 102 and can collect the liquid developer removed by the cleaning roller 15.
