Abstract:
The present invention prevents the leading edge of a paper sheet from entering an opening in a conveyance path. The present invention comprises: a conveyance path (R) for conveying a paper sheet; a static eliminating means (static eliminating brush [51]) that contacts the paper sheet conveyed by the conveyance path R and eliminates electrical charge, is provided so as to protrude partially into the conveyance path (R), and has multiple leading ends (hair bundles [52a]) interstitially provided along the paper sheet width direction E; and an opposing member (blade mounting portion [55a]) which is positioned upstream and/or downstream of the static eliminating means (static eliminating brush [51]) in the paper sheet conveyance direction (D) with a gap therebetween. The static eliminating means (static eliminating brush [51]) is equipped with at least one restricting unit which contacts the paper sheet and can be bent in the gap and which is provided between the leading ends (hair bundles [52a]) of the static eliminating means (static eliminating brush [51]) so as to restrict the entry of the paper sheet into the gap.
