Abstract:
An image forming device for performing good quality image forming, regardless of the mounting accuracy of a surface light emitting element array chip, is provided with an image data generating unit 401 for generating pixel data corresponding to 2400 dpi, a joint adjusting unit 1702 for adjusting an amount of displacement at a joint between a certain surface light emitting element array chip and a surface light emitting element disposed adjacent to said certain surface light emitting element array chip, and a resolution converting unit 1702 for converting the resolution of the pixel data from 2400 dpi to 1200 dpi, wherein the joint adjusting unit 1702 adjusts the amount of displacement at the joint with respect to the pixel data after the resolution has been converted by the resolution converting unit 1702.
