Abstract:
An image forming material which forms an image with use of laser light and comprises, on a supporting body, a photothermal conversion layer and an image forming layer that contains, based on 100 parts by mass of the total solid content, from 20 parts by mass to 60 parts by mass (inclusive) of pigment particles having a number average particle diameter of from 30 nm to 100 nm (inclusive), from 4 parts by mass to 40 parts by mass (inclusive) of at least one resin that is selected from among acrylic resins having a weight average molecular weight of 10,000 or less and rosin resins, and from 4 parts by mass to 40 parts by mass (inclusive) of a polymerizable compound having at least two ethylenically unsaturated double bonds; and an image forming method.
