Abstract:
An image generating device is provided with an imaging unit 11, a projection unit 22, and a distance information generating unit 18, and a projection pattern includes a unit pattern arranged in a plurality of lines in a first direction and a plurality of columns in a second direction. A plurality of light dots are configured from first dots and second dots which are light dots in mutually different states, the unit pattern aligned along the first direction has an arrangement of mutually same light dots, the unit pattern aligned along the second direction has an arrangement of mutually different light dots, the number of first dots among the plurality of light dots aligned along the first direction in the unit patterns is the same fixed number in each line in the second direction, and the number of first dots included in lines having the same length as the unit patterns in the second direction in locations outside the unit patterns is different from the fixed number in any line in the second direction.
