An image generating device has an establishing means by which the contact state between a vehicle and a road surface each of which is expressed as a polygon is established in a virtual space and a generating means by which image data expressing the state that the vehicle moves on the road surface while the contact state is maintained. The establishing means has a means which generates contact establishing data at the contact position from the data on the vertices of the polygon of the road surface by interpolation, a correcting means which corrects the interpolated contact establishing data in accordance with the unevenness of the road surface, and a contact setting means which sets the contact in accordance with the corrected contact establishing data.
