Abstract:
An image generating device comprising two or more imaging means (3a, 3b) adapted for imaging an object to generate sets of image data and arranged at different positions, correlation finding means (5) for finding the correlation between the sets of image data by comparing the sets of image data on the epipolar line defined by connecting a point on the line of sight connecting an imaginary position (A) and an object (2) imaged and the corresponding point on the line of sight connecting the position of each of the imaging means (3a, 3b) and the object (2), and distance image generating means (5) for generating a distance image indicating the distance between the imaginary position and the object according to the correlation found.
